"In this chapter, we learn that Jacob, Joseph's father, and all of his direct descendants went to live in Egypt because there was a famine in Canaan."
"Wow, was that's a long journey?" Olivia questioned with wide eyes.
"Yes, it was," Mama Otter said. "But Joseph was there to welcome them and he told them to settle in the region of Goshen. He wanted to make sure they were taken care of."
"Joseph loved his family very much," Papa Otter added. "And he wanted them to be safe and happy in their new home in Egypt."
"That was very kind of him," Olivia said.
"Yes, it was," Mama Otter said. "And this just goes to show how much love and compassion can help bring families together, even when they are far apart."
Lesson: Genesis 46 teaches us to always make sure we love and take care of our family.
