"Do you remember the story we told you about Joseph?" Mama Otter asked.
Olivia nodded. "He was the one who had the colorful coat, right?"
"That's right!" Papa Otter said. "Well, now it's time to tell you what happened to Joseph next." Olivia was excited and listened intensely as Papa otter continued. "One day, the king of Egypt had a dream that no one could interpret. But when Joseph was brought to the king, he was able to interpret the dream and tell the king that there would be seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine."
Mama Otter continued, "The king was so impressed with Joseph's abilities that he made him the governor of all of Egypt and put him in charge of preparing for the famine. Joseph was able to use his gifts and skills to help the people of Egypt and the surrounding lands during the time of famine.
"Wow," Olivia said. "Joseph was really brave and wise. And God was with him even when he was in prison."
"That's right," Mama Otter said. "No matter what happens to us, God is always with us and can use us to help others."
Papa Otter added, "And just like Joseph, we should always trust in God's plan for our lives and use the gifts and skills he has given us to help others."
Mama and Papa Otter gave Olivia a big hug. Mama Otter says. "Always remember that God is with you and has a plan for your life."
