"I will teach you more about Abraham," Mama Otter began. "Abraham was getting older and wanted to make sure his son, Isaac, would have a wife who followed God just like he did."So, Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for Isaac."
Papa otter continued, "The servant went to the city of Nahor, and there he met Rebekah, a young woman who was part of the same nation. Rebekah was kind and beautiful. The servant knew that she would be the perfect wife for Isaac."
Mama otter said, "Rebekah agreed to marry Isaac and the servant brought her back to Abraham's camp.
Papa Otter continued, "When Rebekah arrived, Isaac was so happy to see her. They fell in love and got married. This story teaches us about the importance of finding a spouse who shares our beliefs and values."
Olivia listened carefully and smiled as she imagined the happy couple getting married. "That's a beautiful story," she said.
"Yes, it is," Mama and Papa Otter agreed. "It's also a reminder that God has a plan for us and will bring the right people into our lives at the right time."
Lesson: Genesis chapter 24 reminds us to trust in God's plan and seek out relationships with people who share our beliefs and values. Just like Abraham and Isaac, we can have happy and fulfilling relationships when we rely on God's guidance.
