"Now we learn about a promise that God made to Abram," Mama Otter explained. "God promised that he would make Abram into a great nation and bless him with many descendants."
Papa Otter continued, "Abram was concerned because he didn't have any children yet, but God reassured him that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky."
Papa Otter continued, "Abraham believed in God's promise, even though he and his wife Sarah were old and couldn't have children. God kept his promise, and Sarah gave birth to their son Isaac."
Mama Otter said, "Abram had faith in God's promise and trusted that it would come true. This story shows us the importance of having faith and trusting in God's plan for our lives."
Olivia asked, "What else happened in this chapter?"
Papa Otter replied, "This chapter also tells us about a covenant that God made with Abram. God promised to be the God of Abram and his descendants forever."
Mama Otter added, "This story teaches us about the commitment that God has to his people. It also shows us the trust that Abram had in God and the faith that he had in God's promise."
Olivia smiled and said, "I will always have faith and trust in God, just like Abram."
Papa and Mama Otter hugged Olivia and told her how proud he was of her for understanding the story and what it means.
Lesson: Genesis chapter 15 teaches us about the importance of faith and trust in God's promises, even when it may not seem possible. Just like Abraham, we can have faith and trust in God and his plan for our lives.
