"In todays adventure, we learn about a group of people who tried to build a great city and a tower that would reach the heavens, Tower of Babel" Mama Otter explained. "The people wanted to make a name for themselves and show their strength."
Papa Otter continued, "God saw their plans and knew that they were becoming too proud. So, he confused their language and they could no longer understand each other. They could no longer work together on the tower and it was never completed."
Mama Otter said, "The story also talks about a man named Abram, who was called by God to leave his home and start a new life."
Olivia asked, "What did Abram do?"
Papa Otter replied, "Abram obeyed God's call and left his home. He travelled to a new land where God promised to bless him and make him into a great nation."
Mama Otter added, "This story teaches us about the importance of obedience to God's calls and plans for our lives. It also shows us that pride can keep us from God's plans."
Olivia smiled and said, "I will always remember to obey God's calls and stay humble, just like Abram did."
Papa and Mama Otter hugged Olivia and told her how proud they are of her for understanding the story and what it means.
Lesson: Genesis chapter 11 teaches us, even though we may have big plans and ambitions, it's important to always follow God's plans and not get too caught up in our own pride. Just like the people in the story who tried to build the tower to reach the sky, we should trust in God's plan for us and be humble.
