"This story continues with the beginning of the flood that God had promised," Mama Otter explained. "Noah, his family, and all of the animals boarded the ark to escape the flood."
Papa Otter continued, "The flood lasted for 40 days and 40 nights, and the water covered the entire earth. It was a very difficult time, but Noah and his family trusted in God's plan."
Mama Otter said, "After the flood, God made a promise to never again flood the earth. He put a rainbow in the sky as a symbol of his promise. Every time we see a rainbow, we can remember God's promise and his love for us."
Olivia asked, "What did Noah and his family do after the flood?"
Papa Otter replied, "Noah and his family left the ark and started a new life on the earth. They built a new home, planted crops, and raised their family. But that is getting ahead of the story."
Mama Otter added, "This chapter teaches us that God keeps his promises and that we can always trust in his love. Even during difficult times, God will be with us and will provide a new beginning."
Olivia smiled and said, "I will always remember God's promise and his love, just like Noah and his family did."
Papa Otter hugged Olivia and told her how proud he was of her for understanding the story and what it means.
