"Now, Olivia, when Moses and Aaron went to the Pharaoh and told him to set the Israelites free, the Pharaoh wasn't too happy about it. In fact, he made things even worse for the Israelites."

"How?" Olivia asked, with wide eyes.

"Well, the Pharaoh was angry and he didn't believe that God had sent Moses and Aaron. So, he made the Israelites work even harder than before. He took away their straw, which they used to make bricks, and made them find their own straw. But, of course, this made it even harder for them to make the same number of bricks each day."

"That's so mean," Olivia said, shaking her head.

"Yes, it was," Mama said. "Since the Pharaoh made the Israelites work harder, the people started to turn on Moses, blaming him for making their lives even harder."

"What did Moses do?" Olivia asked.

"Well, Moses was a man of faith, but even he had moments of doubt. So, he returned to the Lord and asked Him why He brought more trouble for the Israelites."

"And what did God say?" Olivia asked. Papa laughed, "That is a story for another time."

Mama and Papa otter hugged Olivia and told her how proud they were of her.

Lesson: Exodus 5 teaches us that even when things get tough and we don't understand what's happening, we can always trust in God and His plan for us. When we have faith and believe in Him, He will guide us and provide us with everything we need to fulfill our purpose."
